Curriculum

ViewPoint Christian Academy only utilizes high-quality, Bible-based curriculums for all of its subjects.  We follow an individualized, self-instructional format and have chosen Christian curriculum that subscribe to this philosophy. Our focus is also on full competency of the subject matter and have established minimum testing requirements that ensure mastery is achieved.

Our individualized curriculum approach ensures that each student learns at their individual level and rate. In order to best accomplish this goal all of our students are first given a diagnostic test to discover their performance levels in all subjects.  Any learning “gaps” that may be present are first addressed so that students can successfully operate at their specific performance level.

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: (Isaiah 28:10)

ONLINE OR TRADITIONAL

ViewPoint Christian Academy utilizes the award-winning online curriculum Ignitia for students in grades 3-12. Ignitia is very flexible and affords the staff of ViewPoint and parents many options. Ignitia is a self-instructional curriculum that utilizes text as well as multi-media to provide instruction to the students. All the activities for a lesson as well as projects, quizzes and tests are completed at ViewPoint’s dedicated curriculum site. Ignitia is recognized as a Certified Autism Resource by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). We highly recommend Ignitia be your choice of curriculum while enrolled at ViewPoint.

When an online curriculum is not an option, ViewPoint also has a traditional booklet curriculum. Like Ignitia, this curriculum is also self-instruction and text and activities are contained within the booklets that are personally assigned according to diagnostic placement testing to students for completion within the school year.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR

There’s more to a well-rounded education than book learning. That’s why ViewPoint’s Ignitia curriculum is scheduled for a 4-day school week to allow a day for extra-curricular activities. Youth group activities, sports, field trips, swim lessons, family projects and scores of other options are available for families to choose from. ViewPoint gives families the support and flexibility they need to achieve a holistic education for their children.
